This is great news. Andy is going to be the backup on Tuesday. Now the question becomes... at what point does he get back in the net?

We'll be #UnitedInBed again tonight, with another left coast late night start. No lineup info available yet as it's only 0540h in California. If it's half as exciting as the LA game, we'll be having fun again tonight.

Trade deadline: what do you want, what do you dread
(Preview)
In a recent interview with TSN's James Duthie (you can listen to it here), GMBM says that he's talked to a few teams about a few guys. He's not interested in a pending UFA, but he's looking to upgrade for the future. He's doesn't think he has to move a D, but he would be open to it if the right deal was op...

Tonight's game is 2230h, not 2200h, so it'll be starting when some of us are normally getting home from a game that was at the CTC! Hammond is looking solid, but we'll see if Anderson is ready to go or not. We might see Greening in the lineup tonight.

Lehner and MacArthur on the IR and not available until early next week (at the earliest). The last info on Anderson that I saw / heard was that he still couldn't hold a goalie stick and was practicing (such that he could) taking shots on the glove side only. Globe and Mail article by non-hockey writer stirrs some, causes yawns with others
(Preview)
The article in question: Eugene Melnyk helped Senators slide further into mediocrity It's pretty inflammatory, it's rehashing a lot of old stuff, and doesn't seem to really have a point to it. I got into a "discussion" about it on Twitter this morning (it wasn't very interesting, tru...

Trade Deadline talk

The trade deadline is March 2nd, but there is already some talks going on among GMs. For the Senators Phillips, Neil and Methot could be candidates to be traded before the deadline. I hope they don't trade Neil, they need his heart and grit. The Sens don't have a player in the organization that does wha...

New contract for Methot

Now that Methot is back playing again, hopefully for the rest of the season, the talk about his pending UFA status is coming back to the top of the list of Sens fans discussion topics (after JGP being a Habs killer and EK65's improved +/- under the new coach, of course). Last year, the comparable being...

Anderson was on the ice yesterday but left it just before practice started after dropping his goal stick at centre ice -- speculation has been that it is anything from a 'stinger' to a minor/major setback (I've not seen anything concrete, but I might have missed it). Robin Lehner

I'm already sick of hearing a lot of bashing in regards to Lehner's play and the apparent "hissy fit" that he had at the end of the last game, both in throwing his stick after the 4th goal and breaking his stick at the end of the game. I looked at his numbers for the season and broke it down as such...
