This always make me laugh.  Back in the '90s, when Detroit was winning cups, fans out west were saying that the western fast paced game was a lot better than the eastern boring defensive game.

Then things switched, the west got more defensive and the east more offensive and the fans out west were saying that the west strong defensive play was superior to the eastern offensive style of play.
