Should be able. They carried Condra, Greening, Boro, and Weircioch to start the season with Methot on IR.

So with Phillips, Neil, and Smith on IR, there should be a spot for a 7th D with only Greening on the trip as the 13th forward.

8 D (includes Cowen as a suspended player counts as a roster spot)

Cowen given three-game suspension for hit on Jokinen.  This covers the three California games, but can be back against the Wild after the (insert sound clip here) trade deadline

 

do they have a roster spot to call up a D from Bingo for the western trip?
