I have a conundrum. I'm really starting to like Chuckie as my next favourite Sen, as i see him as our Messier. But i swore I wouldn't get attached to any more players until euge is gone. just too much chance he'll get traded cuz he's going to get big money. (unintentional Rush reference.)

You never know how things will play out. I started listening to the Underground because I literally just searched iTunes for every hockey podcast and gave them all a try. Then 1.5 of my favorites players got sent to Ottawa, they're both gone now but I'm still here.

But, yeah, totally hear what you're saying.

Yeah, I refuse to get excited about any of these players.  I'm not putting myself through all of that again.

Even Dzingel... much as it's nice to have one of our boys back, I'm fully expecting that he will be gone again, so I'm fully prepared for it this time.

Dzingel's underlying numbers aren't great and he's shooting 26.32% at 5v5 since joining Ottawa. Those are numbers you look to avoid locking into.

Any combination of Brady/Paul/Stützle/Formenton should be playing ahead of him. Dzingel's kind of like Duclair, a burner who isn't good at defending or helping to sustain pressure in the OZ. The Sens can find a better depth player on the open market with so much cap room

Graeme Nichols a Sens writer says this, I’m definitely not up to date on everything Sens as some of the writers

Resign him at the right price. He's a streaky player who can score goals when he's hot but certainly not someone they have to sign.

I haven't checked, but contender to leave unprotected in the expansion draft?

I'd be ok with that. Not sure who they have to expose.

He’s a UFA and if my Seattle squad signs him it counts as a player off Ottawa’s list and towards Seattle’s at least 60% of its cap hit coming from the 30 selected players in expansion. At least that’s my understanding at this point 🤷🏼‍♂️
