Montreal's gonna have fans in the building if the series goes the distance?? -per NBC
2500 fans if it gets to game 6 is the plan
Was/is Ontario striker or are you guys just moving that fast?
Ontario won't be there any time soon.
Best case scenario under the current plan would have indoor gatherings of any kind resuming around the end of July
Yeah, that was supposed to read "stricter", gold you were able to decipher. So is Montreal less bad, Covid-wise, or more crazy, political-wise? Is Montreal your Florida? (Or is Ontario your California/Oregon? extreme in the other direction.)
Quebec has stayed with stricter restrictions all along. Ontario kept trying to re-open, and then having to shut down again. So this time they are taking a longer view approach to re-opening, and keeping us closed until most people are vaccinated.
And yes, we can now go tobogganing, skiing, and ice skating.

NBCSN showed it from another angle coming out of intermission. They also pointed out that Smith played the puck outside the trap.
he did. I always thought that the trapezoid was silly, and even more so now. Just let them play the puck.
Goalies were taking advantage of the "you can't hit a goalie" rule too much when playing the puck in the corner.
Sure, but that can be dealt with other ways
Goalie is fare game in side the trapezoid?
I remember early on some goalies would pass the puck, but in the process swept the puck from their side of the trapezoid through the tip of it and get a penalty. Now that was dumb.
Yeah, I mean, they probably need a bit more protection still, but if they choose to wander, they should be open to consequences of some kind. A penalty for touching the puck in the wrong spot is silly

And, to be fair, in the incident in question, Smith was near the post and the reach of his stick touched the puck about one puck's width outside the trapezoid. I wouldn't want that reviewed anymore than I like having the non-duchenne offsides reviewed.
If and when we get fully automated tracking of puck and players, fine. But while we're relying on human eyes I'm fine with a few things being missed in favor of not reviewing every little thing.

I'm not saying they should be open to Kadri-esque hits but I do think, outside the crease = fair game. I do concede that opens a huge gray area that then I would likely complain about the officiating of.
