I’ve been hearing that what Demello wanted was not close to what the Sens wanted to offer. Not confirmed, but if there is no formal offer it might well be because the “talk” beforehand showed they weren’t in the same neighbourhood.
His agent says they had a couple of preliminary chats, but never got a contract offer from the Sens. So they clearly had no intention of actually keeping him around.
So all they got for Dylan Demello was a third round pick? That’s crap return on a young guy who doesn’t make any money and is a good solid defenseman, it’s just crap a third round pick is nothing it’s a throw in on a lot of other trades. What was the rush to move him?
