I'm still a bit undecided. It's an interesting series in a way, but it's just not Star Trek to me.
And the subtitles for the Klingons are irritating me.
Agree on the subtitles. Still wondering where it will go. Like many tv shows these days, the season is more of a a continuing story which is a departure from previous series of individual episodes.
Maybe once all the characters/backstories are established it'll settle down.
Maybe, but I also feel like they are screwing with too many things timeline-wise. This is supposed to be 100 years before TOS... but the technology level doesn't match that.
Only about 10 years before TOS, ~100 after Enterprise. But yeah tech seems to be violating cannon. Spore drive tech was never mentioned in any other series, but us a major focus point in this series.
And what the hell happened to the Klingons in TOS? Worf: "We don't discuss it with outsiders" LOL
I assume the spore technology is going to be lost now, based on the last episode, so maybe we will see the starts of the more scientific mission. I'm just not sure that I'm loving the series.
And I am not loving some of the characters, unfortunately.
I prefer the Orville. Doesn't take itself to seriously. Reminds me a bit of the original Star Trek.
Sometimes, yeah. Once in awhile I think they try to hard to be a "spoof" series, but I'm enjoying it.
