Oh, and lesser news, the monitor setup is working now!!
Quick... Turn ON ✅ Displays have separate Spaces.
It was already off, so I turned it *on* int he first, but needed to reboot to accept the change. Immediately worked as expected upon reboot.
One of those damn settings you do ONCE and never again, and then completely forget 6 years later with a new computer. Or, as the case may be, a 3-year-old computer that you're finally getting around to fully transitioning to.
💍 --> the mistress has been upgraded, officially. Taking to my Pens-fan friends this morning about the Thu game, I started using "we", instead of "them".

Okay, SERIOUSLY, how the **** do you connect an external monitor to a MBP, full screen a Safari window on the external, AND STILL HAVE FULL ACCESS ON THE BUILT-IN DISPLAY?!
Full screening the external blackouts the built in.
AI says this...
The fix that almost always works (Safari + external monitor) Turn OFF “Displays have separate Spaces” Safari uses macOS “Spaces” very aggressively for fullscreen video. 1.System Settings → Desktop & Dock 2.Scroll to Mission Control 3.Turn OFF ✅ Displays have separate Spaces 4.Log out and log back in (this is required) 📌 After this, fullscreen video on the external monitor should no longer black out your MacBook display
Lol, yeah, I *just* remembered the Spaces thing...but it needs a logout to change!
