 I think I’m just getting old and the blood doesnt flow like it used too. 

 I went out on the canal today.  -4°C with no wind and great ice!  Much warmer than last weekend's -15°C + windchill!

 I've thought about those, and the socks, but I'm worried that I'll forget to charge them and they'll never be ready when I need them.

I definitely say don't fight it though. There's a weird thing here in the PNW, people take pride in their suffering so they don't wear waterproof shoes and other things that would make life exceptionally more comfortable.

I was ok with it up until the 3 min show off note.
