I think season started about a week later than years past? Oct 11th was Sens 1st game.  I think I recall seasons starting Oct 4-5 before.

 I think it must have because I was equally surprised when I checked my calendar and the latest game was ANA on 18th. I was expecting roughly a week earlier.

But at this point I can't even remember last fall.
