Does anyone here have a The Athletic subscription? Is it worth it? Those Ian Mendes articles are inciting.
I do, but I don't read it as much as I thought I would. Some of the Mendes articles, a few others... but I'm not sure how much longer I'll keep it.
Thanks!
I have one too, I got it right from the beginning and now pay full price. It’s worth 1 or 2 dollars a month with the beginning offer. You get a year to see if you like it. I read it for the 5 big sports ⚾️🏒🏈 ⚽️ 🏀
Plus you get NY Times too for a discount I think 🧐

I don’t know why they don’t take the icing when they’ve been stuck out there that long. Gives a few seconds or the coach can call a time out.
Can't call a timeout, no?
I was was thinking puck over the glass was starting to look like a good idea.
No time out allowed there? Have I forgotten that?
I heard something, either podcast or game, referring it…I had forgotten too I guess. From wikipedia via google: Starting with the 2017–18 NHL season, offending teams are not allowed to take a timeout after an icing.
There you go. Not the first thing ive forgetten.
Although, it seems like you should be able to use it for that, if you want. I means, it’s your time out, spend it how you want.
