I didn’t lose power, and my late 80s parents who did got it back overnight into Monday. Their Internet and video connections came back up a few hours later. Hydro Ottawa is saying the damage is worse than the tornadoes four years ago or the ice storm in ‘98, and I believe them. I drove out to see my parents last night and the west end is bad. I’m going east this morning so I will see how that is.
Thanks for the update Russell. Hopefully everyone else is ok too. The storm swept north of me here too, but there are huge areas north of the city without power.
I'm good. Worst of storm stayed north of us. Power was out for 13 hours, internet and phone for a day. Senior lost his fence and is still without power. Some will be 3-4 days without power. The damage is city wide.
