Yesterday the mayor took it upon himself to make a deal with the organizers of the occupation to have their vehicles moved from downtown residential streets to Wellington, which is the street that Parliament is on. So basically surrendered part of the city to insurgents. How is that going? Well one of the streets they moved trucks from is now again full of vehicles on top of what they moved to Wellington. They guy is an absolute idiot.
police chief said in his goodbye letter that this was an "unforeseen crisis". Everyone in the country knew they were coming, except him.
On a lighter note. Yesterday evening there was a "Emergency Meeting #FREEDOMCONVOY2022" on twitter Spaces to disuses the measures that the government is implementing. Companies who's trucks are involved having their corporate accounts frozen, vehicle registrations revoked, thus insurance revoked, thus leases possibly repossessed and crowd fund raising assets being frozen.
This meeting was to discuss what to do next. Except it was put on by master trolls. The 1st hour had truckers being led on by trolls. I haven't laughed so much in a long time.
Ram Ranch song made a few appearances and the moderator "getting upset". Dammit, not again. I've been getting rammed for two weeks now.
I lmao at this part of someone asking. “What is this Ram Ranch people are talking about? Is it somewhere we can go and get our money?”
Fun facts with Noodles is a modern day Hinterland Who's Who. lol
For our American friends, "Hinterland Who's Who" was a series of shorts about Canadian wildlife that played on TV during commercial breaks. Here's an example of the Loon. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LwWHk8azaAc
they did one on the Nepean Senior. Often seen scrounging along wetlands in search of coloured Top Flites.
Cathy, tj, did/do Americans feel this way about the American Flag on display?

My daughter is currently terrified of any car or truck in Ottawa with a Canadian flag on it.
It's sad that a country's flag is hijacked by far right extremists to support their hate.
was thinking about this today. right now, the sight of a Canadian flag is a divisive thing. Its now associated with hate, anger and lawlessness. We will have to claim back our flag eventually. I think I know how. Right now, they drive around with them attached to their cars and trucks, stick them at the end of their driveways to make a statement, but if EVERYONE did it, they wouldn't stand out and it would lose that symbolism. I'm starting a movement. #TAKEBACKTHEFLAG
