Someone needs to score. I am NOT up for OT tonight.

Hush! I need OT to bingo.

Sigh... I was up this morning at 8:25 for work.

Went back to bed around 10:30 until 1pm.

Then another nap from 5:00-7:30

I'll stay up for a bit, but don't want it to go long into OT. Just hope I sleep well enough tonight and feel better in the morning.

This is one scenario where I will relax my "Don't make me wait through intermission just to score in the first 2 minutes of OT" rule.

How do you feel now compared to puck drop? If you haven't gotten worse then I think there's a good chance of being at least functional tomorrow, if not moderately improved.

still a headache, but it seems to be fading. still sore, but might be stiff from not moving much today.

We'll see how it goes tonight.  might work 1/2 tomorrow (afternoon).  I also got paged 12:30am, 2:30am and 4:30am this morning, so lost some sleep there too.

If OT goal is screened or a divication Kat gets a Bingo. Or a double Bingo for a screened deviation goal.

I think that's better than my chance of double bingo with 2 goals in 90 seconds.

Hockey players are also paid monthly.  Just like Kat...

I'm gonna go out on a limb and guess if Kat was getting NHL $$ the change from bi-weekly to monthly wouldn't even be noticeable.

Yeah, If I was getting NHL $$ I also probably would have retired by now!

Random question for you guys, if your regular payday falls on a Sunday do you get paid on Mon or the previous Fri?

 Friday

I think every previous job has been like that, my current employer is a *little* fast and loose on following labor law to the letter though. Not a huge deal, but moderately gear grinding.

I think I've always been paid on Thursdays. If it falls on a stat holiday, it gets paid the last working day before.

The new place is monthly.  Second time I've had that.  It's a bit tricky to adjust to.

Oooh, I've heard of monthly, never actually seen it in the wild. So are you gonna go like 6 weeks between paychecks? (2w vacay + 4w new job)

The skewing that would do to all my financial charts and reports would irrationally irritate me. (see above re: pumping gas and surf clothing, Cathy can sometimes focus on the wrong things)

it's a big gap with this change, for sure.

And yeah.... I have so many things timed based on bi-weekly pay.  My mortgage payments, for one..... sigh.

The time off in between and the (hopefully) less-insane work environment will be worth it!

Totally!  Although I'm still buying lottery tickets too, just in case....
