I cannot articulate just how much I hate that the final 5 minutes of a hockey game have SPONSORSHIP!

Feels like both teams suddenly remembered this is a real game with something on the line

The NBC commentators are definitely more animated than they have been all night.

I was teeing that up for Russell but well done, sir!

rehash of an old joke when Russell commentated that then Sens coach Paul MacLean (aka The Stash) was animated on the bench and I posted this.  lol

Knights take the lead

Well that was unexpected. Though the shot count would suggest it should have been expected.

On a positive note, we are finally getting the rain we need so badly. The water in the river is down to August levels.

Yep, looking forward to seeing things finally green up.    All of the brown grass was a bit disconcerting

What is this "green" of which you speak??

Visiting team outshoots in the second. Game tied after 2.

Nary a single dab in the second.

Who's staying up/Who's going to bed?

It's Friday, I can stay up past my bedtime.

Lol, the sunrise/sunset times are suddenly super early/late (I know, I know, it's actually gradual but there are times when it feels like it jumped by an hour overnight), you guys talk about going to bed and there's still a couple hours of functional light left. It's weird.

The sun set over an hour ago here :)

You get an extra 0:20 on the front end and 0:45 on the back end compared to me today. Gotta love those northern latitudes in the summer!!

Which reminds me, TJ...12 hours after our chat I saw the following headline: "First 'Murder Hornet' Of 2021 Discovered in Washington"

I have a morbid fascination with these comparison slider photos on CNN. The scariest part is most of the "good" pictures are from 2019/2020...those weren't good years, objectively.

But, we had a weird and quick t-storm pass through yesterday AM. That simply does NOT happen around here. Er, at least it didn't in the first few decades I lived here.
