So around 2am I was wakened by the LOVELY smell of skunk spray all through my house. I'm assuming that either one of the neighborhood cats got sprayed, or one got hit on the train tracks. Took forever to dissipate enough that I could get back to sleep.

Almost a 2 on 1, but it kinda fizzled.

lol - that difference is probably because "merde" is one of those words that doesn't REALLY have a direct translation

If you're serious, you use a period.

Oh, ça va être l'un de ces jeux. (met le capuchon sur le dabber)

If I just said something offensive, blame Google translate.

Okay, really stupid question, why is it called the Bell Centre when it's written Centre Bell?

 Bell Centre = English

Centre Bell = French

And French grammar puts the modifier after the noun? So in a sentence it would, directly translated, look something like "the center which is Bell"?

I didn't know that structure applied to proper nouns too. Learn something new today? Check. I can be brain dead the rest of the day without shame. :)

lol.  Yes, more or less.  So where we would say "Montreal's Team", in French it's "l'equipe de Montreal"

speaking of, home team scores first

 l'équipe à domicile compte premier.

I should convert the bingo card to French to mess everyone. lol

Please don't.

I had one year of French, taught by a Yugoslavian-born emigrated-as-an-adult science teacher, in other words a very thick accent. And the country gives you some indication as to just how long ago this was!
