Nope you're right i always think of the amazing video of the Blue Jackets fans chanting "Fail for Nail!" Only to see the Oilers get 1st overall... lol. If it wasn't for the Lightning and Penguins ruining the draft in the first place we wouldn't need the lottery.

 the guys on Locked on Sens just ran 3 lottery spins and the Sens got the 3rd pick and 7th (sharks) then the next two spins were #6 and #8 both times.  This lottery thingy may really suck and it's no sure thing like that guy you wrote Spezz.  Depending on luck is not a good long term investment strategy
