I think the ridiculous contracts are becoming the way of life for the Leafs to sign players -- they want the big money / long term if they're going to subject themselves to the scrutiny and criticism that is the world of TML.   The team does have some good players, but for some reason they just can't seem to play together.   This off-season is going to be interesting.

The Leafs have some good players... I think the media just beats them into the ground. And because they have the money, they sign them to ridiculously huge contracts that they can't give away...
