Not surprised at all about Formenton, once he wasn’t signed and went to Europe and no comments from anyone it was pretty clear he was being investigated
Timeline:
In April 2022, the woman filed a lawsuit against Hockey Canada, the organization that oversees Canadian junior hockey, and eight unnamed players from Canada’s 2018 World Junior team, seeking $3.55 million in damages. In May of that year, TSN reported that Hockey Canada had settled the lawsuit with the woman out of court. Against a backdrop of public outrage and the revelation of other sexual assault allegations tied to members of Hockey Canada, the London police investigation was reopened in July 2022.
Formenton: Contract ended 2021-22, not resigned by Sens, assuming because of pending allegations/suspicion of involvement.
Dube: New Contract started 2021-22, ends 2023-24
Hart: New contract 2021-22, ends 2023-24
** McLeod: Contract ended 2020-21, extension 2021-22, new one signed 2023-24 (one year) all with NJ
** Foot: Contract started 2021-22 (Tampa), new one again 2023-24 (one year with NJ)
---------------
Not surprised with Formenton, Sens didn't risk signing him and have controversy on their hands over this.
Dube and Hart signed three year deals the previous summer and allowed to play the past season and a half.
** McLean and Foot on the other hand, had deals signed the previous summer when news broke out, but both resigned one year deals this season with NJ.
If the Sens had an idea on Formenton's involvement, there had to be suspicions on who else was.
Not sure if there are grounds on suspending an active player on suspicions vs charges being laid. NHLPA would be all over that.

I completely missed the news last month that the 2024 Draft will be the last in-person draft. I will absolutely miss the Bettman booing but also the "we have a trade" drama. Hockey is the only sport I do, has everything else moved away from in-person drafts?
I missed this news too. I wonder how the players feel about it. I'm sure a lot of the 1st rounders look forward being at this event in person and getting their names called up. Sure they'll have camera feeds in the living rooms of the top players, but it's not the same.

In WAS@ANA tonight they have a Strome and Carlson/Carlsson apiece. Ducks PxP guy, "There should be a law [about them being on the ice at the same time]."
While I respect his privacy and all that jazz (especially since this may end up being a forced retirement), I'm dying to know what qualifies as "unacceptable conduct" in Chicago.
