The Senators have moved former blueliner Jason Smith from a player development role to an assistant coaching role, joining Dave Cameron and Mark Reeds, and his primary responsibility will be the defensive corps.

The team has also named former Senators F Shean Donovan as a new player development consultant for Ottawa, Bingo and Evanston (ECHL).   I'm not sure if this will mean the end of Chummy's time as an assistant coach with the 67s or not.
