Honest question: do we think Giroux will score enough to retain his square?  Why didn't we ever give Batherson one in the first place?

G helps someone else find the spot?

I also agree that it will  likely be a dab-light square. But I feel like after the "he's leaving to retire in PHI, wait no he's not!" it would be rude to take his square away.

How about a G does something square. Goal, assist, penalty.

 G makes the effort.

 B finds the spot?

I agree. Don't think G will score enough goals to warrant a square.

How about B bangs it home.

 B buries it?

And his suggestions for new squares...

Now that I've got the register — the card runs on recognition, not description. Half these squares are a noise the thread makes.

"Oh, we're doing this again" — the specific failure mode you've watched forty times. Failed breakout, back-door tap-in, whatever your board's particular wound is. Marks itself.

"Hockey happened" — the goal nobody can explain. Puck off three shins and a stanchion. Distinct from AYKM, which is skill; this is entropy.

"He's fine" — player takes a puck somewhere unfortunate, stays down, gets up, keeps playing. The thread says it in unison every time.

"Zamboni-adjacent" — anything that stops play for a reason that isn't hockey. Ice repair, broken glass, a hat that came out late, debris. Good square because it's genuinely unpredictable but unmistakable when it happens.

the back-door tap-in is......rather sentient for this forum.

I like the equipment malfunction idea, happens just often enough to be effective I think. And, after conversations with multiple LLMs, it looks like we have most everything else covered anyway. lol

After explaining London Bobby as "London Bobby is when the refs emphatically, or repeatedly,  blow their whistles."

Ah — the traffic-cop whistle. Makes the sequel square obvious too: it's the encore performance, same as your second-post square.

Which leaves LUBE! and Oops, my bad as my only remaining guesses. If LUBE isn't Ullmark, I've got nothing.

Claude's insights on the rest...

London Bobby Forum in-joke. No idea.

Return of the London Bobby Second occurrence of whatever the above is

LUBE! Ullmark — likely a big save or the goal horn moment. Guessing.

Oops, my bad Player visibly owns a mistake — turnover, missed assignment. Guessing.

Four I'm not confident on: LUBE!, Oops, my bad, and the two London Bobby squares. The last pair especially — nothing about it parses from the outside, and the fact that it has a sequel suggests it's a specific incident someone on the board witnessed.

Dropped that one from the table — it's the last row of your original list and I clipped it.

Spicy Pinto Beans — Shane Pinto goal or point, presumably the "spicy" version: a big one, a physical one, or one that comes with an edge. Though it could equally just be a Pinto point with the pun doing the work.

Which is it on your board — any Pinto production, or does it need the spice?

So I asked MS Co-Pilot about a potential replacement for the square that shall not be named and also to guess what the current possible squares mean.  Here are the notable responses.

- G hits the spot — Giroux does something good  # twss

- Spicy Pinto Beans — Shane Pinto moment

-  LUBE! — Sens game thread meme  # This is funny ****

- London Bobby — Bobby Ryan reference (London, ON)

Can't win them all, but pretty good.  lol

It suggested "Stützle draws a penalty" as a replacement.

Was also thinking that we have "Lost Lid" and "Broken Twig", what about "Equipment malfunction" for lost skate blade or other non stick/lid related equipment issue. Could maybe include broken glass?

So AI figured out G-Spot is Giroux?  LMAO

Did Claude know what London Bobby was?

Claude is the LLM/AI chatbot from Anthropic. (For basic conversation purposes, Claude = ChatGPT = Gemini.) Claude is the AI tool my company went with and, since I have apparently forfeit all my environmental concerns, I was using him to waste time yesterday.

I had remembered talking about how the bingo card was going to need a rebuild so I gave him all the squares, but then I realized it was only when we were looking at losing at least TWO squares that we started talking rebuild, think we only need to replace the one now.

As for the rest, can't say I blame ya but also...lird your goins! (random spoonerism from friend yesterday that immediately became part of permanent vocabulary)
