This playlist has been on my computer for 20+ years (holy crap), time for an update. (Though, I can't bring myself to completely nuke this one, it'll be retired.)

So...what songs are in regular rotation at CTC? biggrin

Yes, I'm nerding out on computer projects this holiday weekend.

 Cotton eyed Joe

 And Bon Jovi

 Stomping Tom.

And, yes, I referenced the documented/official RGB colors to label the calendar because...you guys have met me, right?

In related news, I have folded like a cheap lawn chair on using AI/LLM for data processing tasks (still not overly impressed with the actual "thinking" tasks) and am currently finishing a prompt to generate the OTT and NHL ICS calendar files from the official Excel schedule the NHL has released the last few years. This used to be a medium manual labor task (and an overnight import to iCal because it was reading from a CSV to create events one by one instead of rendering a complete ICS file), and now I'll have the calendars populated as soon as I download the file from the NHL press release.

Boss gave me a mandate to "play around with AI" and when I asked "What problem are we trying to solve with AI?" He said, "I-unno." So I'm slamming the company-paid-for Claude Pro account with personal tasks. 😈

Do any of y'all interact with LLMs for work? Because I really feel like a ****ing idiot on some of this stuff, my brain is just having a hard time figuring out what I can do with it, other that speed up processing tasks.

i make silly pictures with Google gemini. does that count?

Eh, probably not.

I still feel a little dirty for enjoying using it so much, I feel like I killing part of the earth with every chat window. And it doesn't help that crafting good prompts is essentially a programming language in and of itself, so I've been burning some usage just trying to figure out how to talk to him/it.
