Looks like tomorrow a Federal election will be called for April 28th. We don't spend two years campaining here.
Since Carney took over as the Liberal leader (thus becoming Prime Minister), the Liberals have increased in the polls and the Conservatives have slummped. Conservative leader Poilievre has been using Trumps playbook for a couple years now and with everything going on people don't have much faith in him.
Carney is also the former Bank of Canada Governor and also former Bank of England Governor, so he knows finances at the inernational level very well.
I forget what the time frame was but I saw a before/after image on reddit and it was like, "Oh *that's* what crazy conservatives can do? Yeah, maybe a liberal isn't so bad."
