How do you BBQ a pie? Asking for a friend.

Pie should be eaten cold or room temperature. Foolish man.

We have a generator so we were able to keep the fridges and freezer cold, charge cell phones and plug in coffee machine and toaster. Lot of BBQing. Lots of flashlights. No TV and Internet was tough.

Good here. Tree in the back on other side of fence fell.  Saw it happen from living room.

1/2 of the tree in front fell on neighbour's car.

I didn't lose power. My mom only got power back yesterday.

Wow!!! What the heck happened? Worse than a tornado? I’m just now seeing this and hope everyone is OK, the power being out for multiple days sucks.

I just read the article, when do you guys expect to have power again? Terrible stuff

They are making good progress, but some places will still be another couple of days.

https://www.cbc.ca/news/canada/ottawa/derecho-tornado-ottawa-storm-may-21-1.6464904 190km/h winds in the south end of the city. That explains a lot, and I was there at the time and believe it.

Kat, could one of us check in on her for you?

Thanks Kards, appreciate the thought.  One of my cousins lives not too far away, so if I'll ask them to check in if she doesn't respond soon.  I'm guessing she is without power and her phone is probably dead.
