Visiting team coaches have started to wear black masks in recent games.

oh.... wow, old reflex there.... I just groaned when Spezza made that pass and nobody was there. then I remembered he's on the other team.

even after all these years you can pick him out by his skating style.

They talked about that on his episode of the Wally and Methot show.  He says he is skating better than he has in years right now because the long layoff finally gave him enough time to really heal up.

SOG are 9-2 halfway through the first.

Shots on the PP are not as rare as the Sens would have us think.

This must be some new-fangled tactic the Leafs are trying out

I know this is sacrilege but...maybe Sens should try copying that new-fangled tactic. no

They need to use the "project ads on ice and glass" technology on goalie pads so they always match the jersey.

lol.   I'll give Forsberg a break right now.... but his helmet looks even more ridiculous with the red jersey

Forsberg plays a game before being picked up on waivers.  Milestone?  lol

This is out 5th string goalie.  Nuts.

Is "Sens start backup" still a square or has it been temporarily withdrawn from competition?

we never had a "Sens start backup" square. it was always the other team.

And now I'm imagining bingo squares...well that's just great. LOL

As much as I love the black unis this year, these red ones are just gross

I was just thinking, the red of the Reds doesn't look like the same red as the red of the Blacks. I'm sure it's just perception (or monitor calibration!) but the red on the Blacks looks deeper, less cherry/fire engine.

I was just thinking that from a distance without seeing the crest, they're just like the Flames red jerseys or any other team with a red jersey with black/white trim.

Just randomly look at your phone and laugh a few times.  Eventually he'll just have to check and see what we are talking about.

ROFL

I do love that he reviews the full game threads after the fact to batch reply with smart-a** comments.
