Roster update: The #Sens have acquired forward Zach Senyshyn and a fifth-round draft pick in 2022 in a trade with @NHLBruins in exchange for defenceman Josh Brown and a conditional seventh-round draft pick in 2022.
Boston passed on taking Chabot in 2015 to take Zach and Zach has played in a dozen or so games in 3 years when called up, he hasn’t quite worked out as Chabot but he’s still just 24

Frank Servalli on Hamonic trade: Canucks GM Allvin became a really popular person within the Canucks locker room because that group was ready to move on from Hamonic...he had sort of worn out his welcome.
Jake Sanderson couldn’t have a better mentor and partner. He missed the first part of this season because he did not want to get vaxxed even after his teammates went thru a horrible time with Covid the year before
Travis Hamonic. Yep, that's who we are getting to "improve" our blueline.
Is it to fill a void for someone else leaving?
absolutely no explanation from the team so far.
Part of Capuano’s leadership group on Long Island. Yet again the team’s pro scouting is limited to ”who’s played for you before”.
Saw where Hamonic's numbers playing with Vancouvers only top flight Dman Quinn Hughes were brought down when Hughes played with Hamonic so the FO's plan of pairing Hamonic with Jake Sanderson sounds like a Senators front office idea that will work out perfectly. Just like all the other plans they've had with all these vet D men they've picked up.
Joseph is also a former teammate of Chabot in Saint Jean (played junior for the Sea Dogs). Apparently he has blazing speed, is good on the PK and is defensively-minded with some scoring upside.
Roster update: The #Sens have acquired forward Mathieu Joseph and a fourth-round draft pick in 2024 in a trade with
@TBLightning
in exchange for forward Nick Paul.
As part of the transaction, the #Sens will retain 44.5% of Paul's remaining 2021-22 salary.
Joseph makes $737,500, is 25 and is an RFA at season's end.
WHAT. THE. ****.
He will be cheaper than Paul because he’s an RFA, he’s younger and been in a winning situation. 6-1 190 18 points in 58 G’s 13 minutes ice time. Sounds a lot like Nick Paul but younger 🤷🏼♂️

Why does TB think Nick Paul is an upgrade then? I know nothing about Joseph, but sounds like a 4th line role player.

These are just a few of the responses from that last tweet I posted before this one
Don’t be silly. A teenager in his first hockey pool could fleece Dorian.
Have crunched the numbers and this statement is indeed factual!
@ian_mendes — you or someone should collect the quotes from the entire Vancouver pro hockey community including @Hockey_Robinson gleefully celebrating this fleecing. And it might get u barred for life but read a few to Dorian tomorrow.
And the Canucks turned around and swapped the 3rd we gave them for Hamonic for Travis Dermott from the leafs. Sigh.
Another Vancouver beat writer:
The Hamonic trade might be the best deal the #Canucks have made in a decade. To offload $3 million for a bottom pair defenceman while also adding a 3rd rounder is basically wizardry in today’s NHL.
