hmmmm... wings starting a young, local kid tonight, his first game in his home town, his grandmother, who's never seen him play live, will be in attendance. 

 

This feels like a game perfectly designed for Ottawa to create a special moment.

With all the great Alfie moments, its funny that one of my favs is the night he came back and took the warm up with the team. Loved that night.

'Twas the night before Alfie-mas

And all through the forums

Not a creature was stirring, not even a Pan



The game thread was started by Homer with care

In hopes that St. Alfie soon would be there

The posters were nestled all snug in their beds

While visions of glories past danced in their heads



When out on the podcast, there arose such a clatter

Russel jumped out of bed to see what was the matter!

Away to the computer he flew like a flash

Typed in his password, and pushed off the cats



When what to his wondering eyes should appear...

But Kardinal and Pan, and a whole case of beer

With a tech guy so lively and quick

He knew right away it must be Canuck!



More rapid than eagles, the listeners came

They whistled, and shouted, and called them by name

Now Homer, now Russell, now Senior and CBINC!

On SensKat, on AO, on TJ and SD!



To the forums, to the thread, to the game we must go!
