Sidney Crosby just did something completely mind-boggling. He has been in the NHL for 20 seasons and every year he has averaged a point a game. Since the 2005–2006 season. I remember Ottawa beat them in the 2007 playoffs and hasn’t come close to beating them since in anything it seems.

Sid the Kid has been in the league for 20 years.  I'm not old, you're old.

Unfortunately, you are right about me again 🤣🤣

And, no, I'm pretty sure those aren't just cross-dressing locals. DET, yes. CHI, yes. VAN, not so much unless something has massively changed in the last 5 years.

I think and I stress only think that a lot of Canuck fans love visiting SoCal and watching the Canucks down there, they sure did in the Bay area when we lived there.

They do. Big travel busses always outside Pond and Staples when the Canucks were in town. That's why I was so curious if the self-imposed travel ban would have an effect or not.

Luke Schenn went from Nashville to Pittsburgh on March 5th and to Winnipeg Match 7th.

He goes from a 53 point team, to a 58 point team to a 90 point team.

Shea Weber's contract is in Chicago now.  I didn't even know it was in Utah.

The NHL has postponed two games this season…a CAR game due to a hurricane and now a CGY game due to fires.

 is this a dad joke?

I’m a bit slow today. It took me a second to figure that out

Subtle enough to sneak by undetected. So yeah, a dad joke. lol

 I still haven't figured it out...confuse

Hmm... Which other team with a natural-disaster-inspired team name is likely to have a game cancelled next?  Probably Tampa Bay... I doubt you can have avalanches in downtown Denver.

Since is was natural disasters on the road, SEA fans on reddit were putting people on notice if their teams hadn't hosted the Kracken yet.

I didn't even realize it until a commercial last night…the "2025" Winter Classic is on NYE? And in the middle of a full day of NHL scheduling? With, technically, some overlap between the WC and the immediately prior game?

I'm FAR more likely to watch WJC all day and since there's nothing but a lone Kings game on 1/1 I guess I won't be watching *any* NHL for a couple days.

Meanwhile, the Buffalo Sabres reporters are getting a bit testy about the lack of success for the Sabres

“Can the Sabres just fold the operation and forfeit the rest of the season? It's just a disgrace night after night. How do you lose nine straight games in the NHL?”

Yet, Montreal, Chicago and Nashville are still below them in league wide standings.
