From Sports Illustrated article, Bettman is going to talk w both
In an official statement issued on July 13th, 2021, Quenneville said, “The allegations in this lawsuit are clearly serious. I first learned of these allegations through the media earlier this summer.”
He was at the meeting. That was a lie.
In an official statement issued on July 22, 2021, Chevaldayoff said, “I had no knowledge of any allegations involving Mr. Aldrich until asked if I was aware of anything just prior to the conclusion of his employment with the Chicago Blackhawks.”
He, too, was at the meeting. And that, too, was a lie.

Stan Bowman out w Blackhawks because of that awful sexual assault allegations in their organization, does anyone believe the NHL will do whatever it takes to find the truth and get justice?
To be fair it sure looks like they are very determined to root out each and every enabler who thought competing for the Cup way more important than sexual assault. Hopefully the Winnipeg GM and the Florida head coach are fired and never allowed to return to the NHL if they are implicit in this. Just heard Macramella on Ottawa podcast

I was just looking at ironman streak in the NHL and saw that there are three players that could break Doug Jarvis' record this season. Interesting that they all started in 2009. Next player with an active streak is Brent Burns at 602.
I never thought anyone would get close to Jarvis's record let alone three. Hope I didn't jinx them.

Not sure if this data point is making the rounds, especially up north, but...forging a covid card is literally a federal offense. (unauthorized use of a government agency's seal)
I could *maybe* see teams looking the other way on a misdemeanor, but a felony? Contractually I suppose it only applies if a lawyer had the foresight to add a "if you are charged with a felony..." section to the contract. There's a lot of things that don't get added to contracts until it happens the first time and then someone says, "Well, I guess that wasn't common sense...add a paragraph."
Though given the not unfrequent overlap between professional sports and legal trouble I'm guessing this isn't the first time.
And then, if the team did move in this direction, how does the NHLPA argue that move on behalf of Kane?!
Evander Kane suspended 21 games.... for using a fake vaccine card to provide Covid vaccine proof. Dumbass
His contract runs until 2024-25. You'd have to think he's untradeable. I don't know who would want him.
Montreal could add to their collection of questionable choices.
Oh, and the reason I came here in the first place...I'd like to request a familial "Chuckie does something" banked dab. The Elder just got a "bench interference" minor for playing the puck from the bench. The puck was going over the glass, he reached up with his stick, and batted it back into play, while sitting on the bench. Refs having none of that.

They discussed on the radio this morning the thought I had when it was announced that Kane was suspended 21 games: does this give SJS leverage to void the contract for Kane breaching some conduct clause or the like? No buyout, he’s just gone.
I can’t see many, if any, teams being interested. Unless they are teams in the KHL.
He has made over $40M, is bankrupt, and in legal trouble. Player assistance program time.

Do u know if the Sens total includes Brady? I’m shocked about SJ and the cap space they have unless that total includes having Evander Kane suspended or something?!?!? They have so many beyond horrible contracts starting w Burns and EK65’s
Yeah, they went from a $61.4M to a $69.7M cap hit. Cap floor is $60.2M.
SJ has no contracts under LTIR. EK65's cap hit is $11.5 for 6 more seasons and Burns $8M for 4 more. If any of them get a career ending injury, they'd be trade bait for a cap ceiling team.
Kane is listed as a non-roster player, suspended without pay and at this time $0 cap hit for this season and $7M for next three season.
Canucks still have ~$3M for Luongo on the books, while the Panthers are on the hook for ~$1.1M since he retired. This is the last season that they get this cap hit.

Craig Anderson helps lead the Sabres to a 5-1 victory, the management there can’t be happy with this. How many more 4 goal victories do the Sabres get the rest of this season? This maybe their high water mark all year and I’m not exaggerating
The Kraken start their existence hitting the crossbar 45 seconds into this game v Vegas 🤦♂️🤷🏼♂️
3 minutes later down 1-0
3 minutes after that it’s 2-0, starting like an expansion club
Sooooooooooooo, you're saying the kraken is expanding?
lol, 🤣🤣
ex Shark scores first Kraken goal
Donato w the first and Schwartz a guy I thought they paid way too much as a UFA gets their 2nd it’s 3-2 now. I really hate the Golden Knights as much as I hate the Laffs and Habs
Geekie ties it up, then Vegas scores b4 the tying goal celebration was finished
Vegas winning goal should not have counted. They got screwed. Welcome to the NHL Krakens.
I know, that was perfect to find out how NHL rules are bendable
