Vancouver interviewed Pierre Dorion for their vacant GM position, Aquilini family who own the Canucks are just as self aware and clueless as the guy who previously employed that guy.

Dorion was just a scout who was in way over his head as a GM, thanks to the Senators' tendency to always hire the cheapest guy possible.

good point!!  It now seems they have moved on from him and I think they scared the fans and people that cover the team so much that no matter who they pick now it will be a relief. It will be at least the clueless owners didn’t hire Dorion

aaahhhh, the old bait and switch. clever bastards.

Chakya??? In Toronto??? only the most scrutinized franchise in hockey and they hire him??? Great for Ottawa but it’s as asinine as Dorian getting another sniff at a front office job in the NHL.
You gotta hand it to Canadian NHL clubs and their commitment to recycling Trash

maybe its because they tried hiring qualified people and as always, they failed miserably. So, lets try the other way.

I hadn’t thought of that. Let’s try hiring certified idiots and see what happens. I truly thought neither one of those guys could ever get a job as GM again but you can never underestimate the stupidity of the Leafs and Canucks ownership groups

seriously! Who would give someone who's completely incompetent a second chance?

I didn’t answer because that’s a complete rhetorical question…..I’m just glad it was the Laffs/Yard Waste

Also, actually haven't had any since game 4. But was thinking might have one tonight and actually have the game on (in some form or another), want to experiment with a watered-down Moscow Mule. 🍸

Oooh, this happened? brb, looking for video. biggrin

Didn't watch the game but got the ESPN notification about the controversial call and then a text from TJ (but it was late so my phone was already on DND.)

Google understood the assignment... (which is impressive/scary since all my recent searches on him are exclusively related to Chicago)

Oh, poor baby, you upset. Boo hoo.

🙄 what happened to "play until the whistle"?

Also, REALLY not a fan of the way he's shoving the players on the bench.

Vancouver radio - “Dorion is clearly bumbling and incompetent and thru acts of malfeasance cost Ottawa a draft pick, he’s a strong candidate and I’m mortified and terrified for Canuck fans that they could be put thru this”

I’d say the guys on the radio aren’t down with his even being considered

I watched Game 1 of Hurricanes vs. Flyers this morning and it made me feel a little better about the series with the Sens. Philadelphia had trouble getting any sustained pressure as well. It was as if they were skating through tar.

Ah, that age-old dilemma, do you want the team that swept you to go all the way (because then your loss doesn't seem quite as bad) or want them to fail, epically, (because...schadenfreude 😈).

Didn't watch (kinda lost track of time and just really can't muster a care for either of these teams, but that's nice to know it wasn't entirely our fault.

But **** that stinky guy, AGAIN!
