 We had about a 3 hour thunderstorm last night.  Crazy intense lightning, felt like it was never going to end.

 Understandable.  Not like you can start a new job then go on vacation 1 month later. 

 Exactly.  Getting some time to relax and get caught up on some sleep sounds amazing right now, getting paid or not.
