Here is a thought to ponder: Taylor Hall, the talk of the trade deadline, has a whopping two goals this season. Two. There are at least 3 D-men on the same team that have more than he does.
I heard discussion on the radio today that if the canucks can't play their games, some could be given to the snes. So basically, we'd be sparring partners.
Sens played against them on March 15th and 17th. Then Canucks played against the Habs on March 19-20, then Winnipeg 22-24.
Montreal went on Covid protocol right after those Vancouver games. Can't ignore the fact that they might be linked and Vancouver players got it from Montreal players. Hopefully Winnipeg players are ok and Vancouver players were not contageous yet.
From Darren Dreger:
As expected additional positive cases have been determined with the Vancouver Canucks. It’s also believed a variant has been identified in some of the cases.
The latest round of positive test results was received this evening. (Friday)
Said 2 weeks minimum but now with more than 8 players who knows when Canucks ever play again.
Not very good news out of Vancouver. 8 players plus one staff so far in Covid protocol
It’s going to be 2 weeks minimum until the Canucks can play again - I’m betting no way they play every make up game since they are just about finished as far as playoffs. Hopefully all those players and families get out of this healthy. Lots of Vaccines really need to be sent to Canada like yesterday...
Have you guys seen all the stuff going down right now about Tim Peel? I mean, I'm not surprised about it at all, he's always been sh**, especially against us, but... dang.
Questionable call against Nashville early in the game.
"It wasn't much but I wanted to get a f***in' penalty against Nashville early in the..."
Refs were Tim Peel and Kelly Sutherland, unclear who said it. Any bets?
This qualifies as a Refs Suck right?
No one EVER deserved to be fired more than peel. Sadly, it happened years too late.
Wow, they really went ahead and fired him.
Considering the league suspended him for a game back in 2015 for admitting in an interview that the NHL puts pressure on the refs to manage the game by forcing calls, I hope he goes full scorched earth and exposes them for their "wink, wink, nudge, nudge" hypocrisy.
From an article "Peel, who refereed his first NHL contest in 1999, was set to retire at the end of the season with his last game scheduled for April 24."
So he was done in a month anyway. At least they won't have a final game congrats, thanks yous and all that.
