I was at the game so I couldn't really be in the forums as well.   My thoughts:

- sloppy play by quite a few, listless play by most

- too many low-probability across-the-middle or eye-of-the-needle pass attempts

- some great defence at key moments, and terrible at others

- a captain who makes a blind behind the back pass halfway up the ice to a TBL player, and ends the game with an unsportsmanlike penalty in addition to an infraction call (the infraction was a bad call, but Karlsson should have kept his mouth shut)

If it was any player other than EK, the coach would go nuts (eg/ Greening with 3 sec of ice time in the 3rd period).  After that many bad plays all game, and the game out of reach, he shouldn't have been on the ice in the last five to seven minutes of the game.   He's not setting a good, nor the right, example as a leader.   If Phillips can be a healthy scratch, there's no reason EK can't be stapled to the bench if his play is costing the team.
