If Stone and Duchene don't sign here, its either because of money, or they don't want to play for euge. You can't do anything about euge, but there's no excuse for not paying them. Of course, that goes back to euge again.
I suppose you could throw in they don't want to go through a rebuild.
i hate everything.

For that (Muzzin) return, 100-percent Ceci is in play. Why wouldn’t Ottawa look for a first round pick and a couple of prospects or a first round pick and an NHL roster player for a 25-year old right-shot D-man? He’s got to get Stone signed, he’s trying to sign Duchene and he might sign Ryan Dzingel, so he’s got to move out some pieces and get (a) great return.”
This is pure fantasy, right?????? Right??
there's only one gm in the league that would put Ceci on the same level as Muzzin, and its Dorion.
it's just too bad that we can't trade stuff to him

Yeah if he was smart he would learn to alter his style but I guess his body is so beat up probably anything will trigger it.

Boro is out again. As we discussed, he's not going to last much longer. Even his magic dirt is failing him now. He just plays to rough a game for his body.

Interesting news with the Lebreton arbitration getting a month extension with DCDLS being brought to the table. Especially with the rumblings the NHL BOG may be putting pressure on Eugene to let them become involved in order to save the deal and get the downtown arena built.
My speculative guesses
- Devcore assumes all of Melynk’s original obligations in the development split with Ruddy
- Devcore will assume the full cost of constructing the arena
- Devcore negotiates a minority share of the team and the operating organization CSMI (40-49%) with Melnyk
- Sens get a nominal lease to play at the arena
- Devcore and CSMI split arena operating costs and subsequent profits
- Devcore purchases majority ownership post Seattle and Houston relocation money

Actual good news about Senators from Twitter:
The 2015 draft may end up being the best one the Sens have ever presided over. Chabot, White, Wolanin, Jaros, Chlapik and now Daccord could all be impact NHLers. Still need time to evaluate but this looks like on number of hits, this ranks the highest.

Why did I read this this is just getting depressing. I just hope those players are still there when I go to the game vs. The Jets in February. I remember how last year i kept telling everyone, "no one's going to get rid of Karlsson. No one's that stupid."
Right?? I'm going to the game out here in March... but who knows what the team will look like by then

The sens have already showed that they can't convince the best of the best players to stay ( EK65). If you were to consider Stone and Duchene to be in that next level of players, not the very best but very good players, and the sens fail to to convince them to stay, then how can they expect anyone to support a team that can only keep average or lesser players? There would simply be no hope.
I've told Pan several times the GoldenState Warriors of the NBA had a horrible owner who hired the wrong people and didn't take the business of the NBA seriously. He hid out and didn't know what the heck he was doing. He finally sold to people who had vision and were winners in life and now they ruined the NBA by winning 3 of the last 4 Championships. It all starts at the top and there simply won't be hope till he passes or sells, he's the sole problem.

I was gullible enough to believe the same thing with you there, who moves a superstar out when he does want to stay when you fairly compensate him? The problem is so clear, I really don't like delusional people who don't get help or refuse to see what's happening around them.

Good news EK65 up to 38 points in 42 Games now, he may be a point a game player by the time Ottawa arrives in San Jose, or after that game. 🤷♀️🤷🏼♂️
