I’m thinking they’ll wait about half the season, see which of Hogballs or Gustavsson is ready to promote, then trade Andy. Give the new team a chance to settle in with new coach and Andy gives them veteran presence while they figure it out. Then let nillson and whoever take it from there. Makes sense to get something for andy before his contract runs out.

I'm ok with it. This will be Anderson's last season here and they need someone who can play about half the games. And if Andy gets off to a good start and Nilsson is playing ok, I think they will try and trade Anderson for more magic beans.

It's not the worst signing, I'm not really either upset or happy about this one.

*shrug* who even knows anymore? Nilsson at least seems like a good person and won't be dressing room poison?

WTF is it with Dorian and signing meh Goalies for multiple year contracts, Nilsson has been signed for 2 more. Lets hope it works out better than Condon did but it is tank seasons to come so maybe Dorian is being brilliant?

Yeah I didn't think he was still on our payroll. Hilarious. So people don't think Karlsson will re-sign with San Jose, I wonder if Duchene will re-sign with Columbus.
Scuttlebutt is Rangers or Pan's favorite for Karlsson Tampa. I've heard Nashville for Duchene and they are trying to trade Turris. I think I heard that from Pierre LeBrun.
The more I've listened to the new Coach Smith speak the more I like him, plus he's had favorable articles written about him from unbiased sources. Hopefully he overcomes the Owner.
hopefully, he becomes the owner.

As I keep repeating the GoldenState Warriors were beyond awful until the old owner sold and new excellent owners came in. Until that guy is gone I don't see a reason to be real optimistic

I actually don't know which is worse, admitting to everyone the team is broke, or trying to keep lying about it.

Sitting there watching Dorkion lying barefaced to the cameras that cost had nothing to do with their choice. Bull sh#t.

As seen on Twitter
DJ Smith brings a lot to Ottawa, but presumably he was hired because they think he's an actual DJ and Melnyk can get a head coach and arena sound guy for one salary
If true, it’s brilliant?

Unparalleled success, here we come!
Agreed. To be honest, I thought they were just going to go through the motions of looking for a new coach and then finally settle on good ol' (cheap) Marc Crawford.
They settled on someone even cheaper, but the good news for Mgt. is when he's inevitably fired they won't be paying him to much to not coach.

If they're not last in the NHL again they would have done better I guess? Measured results.

The sens hiring a new coach is like a colonoscopy; I don't look forward to it at all, and I just hope it doesn't turn out really bad.
Hey. That's the guy from the Bob and Doug album!
General Russell stuff; one off my bucket list.
