Hammond won't be playing tonight due to a groin injury. Andy is in and O'Connor has been called back up
“Hammond isn’t going. He tweaked a groin,” said Cameron Thursday morning. “Tweaked groin is all I know. I have no time limit on it ... I haven’t talked to anybody. I got the information relayed to me.”
Cameron said the injury happened during the morning skate. Hammond was on for most of the twirl, but was the first one off the ice.
Hope it's not too serious. I don't like to hear a "groin injury" and "goalie" in the same sentence.
I hear this song everytime I hear about a groin injury in hockey

Cameron also mentioned that Lazar would play center for tonight... but going long term how do you guys see 3rd and 4th line shake out?
My predictions:
MacArthur Turris Stone
Ryan Zibanejad Hoffman
Prince Pageau Lazar
Neil Smith Michalek
Scratched: Chiasson
Waived: Greening
Minors: Puempel
Methot-Karlsson
Ceci-Wiercioch
Borowiecki-Cowen
Scratched: Wideman
Waived: Fraser
Injured: Phillips

Listening to the post game show while getting ready for bed... Wow, is it just me or are they suggesting that Hammond coming in half-way with a 3-0 lead was the worst thing in the world for a goalie. Moreover, what made it worse is that he KNEW he was going in half way, as opposed to having to come in on an emergency basis like in a real game after an injury to the starter.............. W.T.F.
This type of loss is on the team in front of Hammond. All those tips in front of the net and giving up the initiative. I wouldn't put it on a goalie who knows he's playing 30min with a 3-0 lead.

Mark Sheifele made a brilliant move leading up to that OT goal: when he recovered the puck after the shot on the Sens net, he shot it back into his own zone to give his team time to change and regroup. Crafty play, that was.

Yeah the 3rd had no momentum. I dunno if I like 3-3 OT. I reaaaally dislike the shoot-out
3 on 3 is a joke. No other sport does anything like this. Don't see baseball go to 6 men on the field for extra innings. Or football cutting back to 6 on 6 for overtime. And the shootout is just as bad or worse.
