Chabot signed, 8 years $8 mil AAV. What do we think?

I guess this should be nothing but good news, but I'm just so jaded now that I have a tough time feeling any kind of happiness about this org. This is what euge has done to me.
Oh, btw, he's being sued again for another $700,000 by an aviation company. That's 2 this week for a total of $1.6 million.

I like it.
We need to form a nucleus of talented young players and stop being a kind of farm team for the rest of the league. I hope this signing has a snowball effect and makes other players want to stay (or come and join us).

Canadian Business magazine, which listed Melnyk 92nd on its 2018 list of Canada’s 100 wealthiest people, put his net worth at $1.2 billion. He made his fortune in the pharmaceutical industry, acquiring the NHL’s Ottawa franchise in 2003.
He’s not near broke, what’s this guys problem?
He has assets but no liquidity or cash. His entire wealth is the team and the remaining RD Pharma operations that are not doing well.
Thx AO, that makes sense. What an a**hat

Mohegan Sun is suing the owner of the National Hockey League’s Ottawa Senators over a $900,000 gambling debt.
The casino, in a suit filed in June in New London Superior Court, claims Eugene Melnyk, 60, a Canadian citizen who lives in Barbados, issued Mohegan Sun a series of drafts that a Toronto bank failed to honor.
DJ Smith says Christian Wolanin slipped on the ice earlier this week and tore his labrum . He will be oit for 4 months.
professional hockey player.....slips on ice....out 4 months.
and so it begins. #SensTypical
Why am I not surprised that it was a slip, not contact or anything but slipping on ice. If I was only buying GameCenter for Ottawa I sure the heck wouldn't be wasting my money this season

They gave one to the 38 year old and Boro
Ryan makes more than the league minimum. Meldink hates him.

Well, considering how much of a train wreck the season was with star players I can't wait to see the train wreck this year of ... uh.. White and Chabot *thumbs up* ...actually this is the time of year I start twitching waiting for hockey to come back.
I'm looking forward to the Sharks, not this damned team. 4 Leafers plus other flotsam and jetsam and hearing Brunnstrom probably won't even make this team out of camp. I get it he's young but it's going on either his 3rd or 4th season as a pro and he can't or won't make this bottom feeding mess of a team. Dorian's one shining get for trading everyone and he still can't make a whale turd of a team
