6 teams are tied for the lead in getting the best chance at Matthews, Calgary-Edmonton-Winnipeg-Toronto-Columbus-Buffalo and 3 other teams are closing in fast on this bunch, Montreal-Vancouver-Ottawa. 47Points for the bottom teams and 52 points for those other horses coming in fast on the outside.
Anyone notice anything about this list of teams battling to win that draft lottery?
yeah, they're all going to be pissed when edmonton wins it.
Nice one

Something I was thinking of - the Wideman hit. He claims he was dazed.. if that's true, then him playing the rest of the game looks bad on the league for putting out an obviously concussed man. I wonder if this is why the league is trying to be so harsh on him...

The Wideman hit was deplorable and an insult to authority. You do nothing on this, and it sets precedence. 25+. That was ridiculous

I think it's NHL-speak for "doing something right now" but really putting off any decision making until after the "marquee event" of the ASG week is over, but nothing more than that.

Did you guys see that Dennis Wideman hit on the linesman? What do you think?

Great interview with Corey Hirsch on SportsNet - Tim & Sid, where Corey talks about doing exactly what Drouin is doing (demanding a trade and refusing to go to the minors) and how it still affects him and people bring it up more than 20 years later:
Click here for the interview -- it's about 8 minutes and worth a watch.
On poor advice from an agent, I refused to go the AHL and was suspended. All It did was lose me money, and hurt my reputation. #drouin

With all the talk about Drouin (2013-3rd overall), here are some interesting stats comparing him to another player from the same draft year who was 17th overall:
Drouin: 89 GP, 6G 34A
Lazar: 108GP, 9G, 16A
Note: Drouin has had a LOT of top 6 minutes. Lazar hasn't. Also, Lazar has a VERY positive attitude (I swear he'd be cheerful if he was told he had to scrub toilets) while Drouin is acting like Alexi Yashin.
Lindbergh seems to be the key, what does anyone know of him?
WHAT THE EFFING EFF...

Oh. I get it.
Breaking: Julia Robillard has a hearing with the NHL.
Shockingly leaf fans don't know the rules of the game
