As there is nothing on TV tonight, I ended watching some of the Capitals - lafs game. (Believe me I never watch lafs games unless Sens are playing) Figured caps would be kicking the crap out of them but the lafs are hanging in there giving them a game. I actually found myself pulling for the lafs. Wish we could steal their coach. If Bab**** can do this with a bunch of no names, Imagine what he could do with the Sens. He might even be able to get them ready to play the first period.
you, sir, have had waaaaaayyyyyyyy too much pie. Plus, you could have been watching detroit vs chicago.

I pull for these clowns because I for damn sure don't want them to get Matthews

Not sure why the lafs just don't forfeit the rest of their games rather than pretending to play out the season. They're just embarrassing the league. Willing to bet the league will be looking into ways of stopping this crap.
not while the leafs are doing it, they won't.
and HNIC still give them prime coverage and makes western teams start at 4pm so the game starts at 7pm eastern.

They have now apparently told Cowen they will do their best to trade him before Monday. Haha.

So apparently lafs put Cowen on waivers not because he's not good enough to play for them but because they are afraid he might re injure his hip and they won't be able to buy him out this summer.
As well, they plan to trade Milan Michalek if they can find a taker.

but Grapes said that he was the kicker in the whole deal
He was. Either take him or eat half of Phaneuf's money. We won this trade because I prefer a top 4 Defenceman than balance sheet room.

Does Doug Wilson have any clue about valuing assets? He trades for 2 Leafers neither w good stats or very good players on a putrid team and gives up 2 2nd round picks for virtual garbage. Homer, Kardinal anyone tell me how bad Murray would be getting blasted for giving up that much for that little. Torres is a throw in and his contract expires just like the 2 Laffs. They are rentals too. 2nd round picks for crappy rentals makes no sense, plus it helps the stupid Laffs
some things have no explanation. kinda like how Wilson still has a job and this

What are the odds Therien finishes the year.

MTL:
my guess is Therien gets sacked, and two years from now, they trade Subban when they realize he's not worth the trouble he causes.
