Oh yeah I have no idea why Chiarelli wanted to sign Lucic so badly that he'd get rid of Taylor Hall for nothing to coax him over. My brother who's an Oilers fan is super depressed.

In other news - Vancouver signed Loui Eriksson? WHAAA??? A Canadian team actually grabbed someone decent? Since when!?
he is pretty good for sure, but all he's going to do in my opinion is take Vancouver out of a top 5 pick next June and still no playoffs.

Exactly Weber was a win-now trade by freeing up the extra cap space for top 6 help while Price is still affordable. It's going to be interesting to see how long Weber plays as I expect him to start breaking down in 4 years or so. The cap recapture for Nashville is going to be painful thanks to the poison pills that Philly put into that offersheet.
A Subban and Josi pairing in Nashville should be fun to watch.
