That was a London Bobby on the face off. That's impressive!

Read as: If the official really feels like they screwed up, they can give the other team a penalty too.
Have I just not seen a major called in 2 years?
Majors don't happen all that often, I guess....
I mean, I stopped watching hockey 3/3/19 (said goodbye to my furry hockey-watching buddy), watched some of the playoffs last year, and then Sens games with you guys since Feb this year. So I guess not seeing a major isn't that crazy. Thank you Homer for doing the leg work to edjamacate us.
That's some Kardinal efficiency you've got going on.
"Home team get 1st PP" is a dead dab. Forgot that doesn't save. I'll have to see if I can get working properly for next season.

What is under review? I'm so lost.
Sounds like majors are reviewed to confirm correct call?
So they downgraded the major to a 4 with a matching 2? These are the finer points of hockey that I've let slip in the last few years.
I don't think I've ever seen this happen.
And why'd they put two guys in the box for the double, why not just sit Orlov for 4. So 4 on 4, then PP. I feel like I'm missing a key element of this situation.
I think that's because it was 2 minors on the same play, not a double minor, if that makes sense?

Looked it up. this was announced June 2019
For major and match penalties, the referee who made the call will be required to review it using the monitor or tablet at the scorer's table. He will have the discretion to either confirm his call or reduce it to a minor penalty. He will not be able to rescind the penalty call altogether.
For double-minor high-sticking penalties, the referee making the call will have the discretion to review it at the scorer's table. If upon review it shows that the offending stick was not from the player being penalized, the referee will be able to rescind the call.

Either of you planning on staying up past 10pm ET? I'm getting my 5G upgrade ~9ET and should be back around 10ET.
I'm going to *attempt* to stay up for the Oilers game
I'll probably stay up. Usually do groceries at 8am on weekends, but did that over lunch today to I can sleep in tomorrow if I want.
Cool, I'll come back and let you guys know how much my cell service improved.
Awesome. Hopefully it was the microchip that made you sick the last time.
I've been cleaning, doing laundry, and cooking all day. Clean house, clean clothes, lots of soup and other fluids. If I *don't* have a reaction it's going to be a pretty carefree weekend.

I read Kat's post and my brain dropped a couple words. Oops.
Saving dead dabs would be AWESOME.
