Picture it. Sydney Crosby slashes Austin Mathews and breaks three of his fingers. No penalty called of course. After game Crosby laughs and says it was just a hockey play. That night somewhere in NY, Gary Buttman wakes up to find three large men in his bedroom. Out of shadows steps an older bald man. They have very one sided chat. The next day a pale obviously shaken Mr. Buttman calls a press conference to announce that Sydney Crosby has been suspended for five games. Scene shifts to Sydney Crosby's apartment where a shocked, wild eyed Crosby screams at the tv "This can't be happening! I'm Sydney fu#king Crosby! I“m the face of the NHL!" Camera fades out.
What you have seen is highly unlikely. But it would be wonderful.

What the department of player safety meant to say when suspending Brad Marchand: “Now that the Bruins have clinched a playoff spot, we’re going to do them a favour by resting one of their best players for two meaningless games.” Nice of the department, wasn’t it?
