We were lucky too. Had power intermittently. On enough to keep the house reasonably warm. But the other side of the street was out for almost a week. People carrying generators up and down the street so people could run their furnaces for a while.

I was lucky, my block was the only one on my street that still had power. There was a massive tree down across one end, and a power pole across the other, so you couldn't get in or out of the block at all for about a week, but we had power and heat, so we were very lucky.

That storm made international news. My dad's relatives called from overseas wondering if we were ok. I was like, "uh... Winnipeg is a little far from Montreal"

I was just looking through some of the pictures.... kind of brings it all back, just how bad it really was.
it almost looked like the PP... just pass around and do nothing with the puck.

Yep. I moved to Maine and now have Blizzard warnings with all the ice from the 12/23 storm still in the trees. I’m expecting to lose power for a while.
