Huh that's a far cry from the $$ spent from L.A. That's almost something we could've afforded!

Habs have signed Kovalchuk to 2-way, $700k contract. Desperation mode - ON!

he might be "hard to handle", but the rest of the league will be "out of touch"
It would be “Dreamtime” if he gave them “everything their heart desires”, but if they ask him to take a hometown discount he’ll probably walk saying “I can’t go for that (no can do)”.

Hall to Arizona for a bunch of stuff. Someone explain to me why NJ didn't want to sign Hall? he was MVP 2 years ago.
from what I heard on the radio today, it sounds more like Hall didn't want to re-sign in NJ. UFA in the summer so I guess he wants to cash in and go to a winner.

Makes it easier to tank? Or you're betting the farm on Hischier, etc. Actually Hall tends to get injured a lot. I've had him in my hockey pools and he'll be out for months at a time.

Yeah and it has nothing to do with the players? Can't the NHL find coaches where people don't disgrace themselves/go off on racist tirades/physically abuse/mentally abuse players/people? Is that just too much to ask?

Weird stuff from Dallas Stars: Statement from Dallas Stars General Manager Jim Nill: After firing Montgomery their Head Coach.
"The Dallas Stars expect all of our employees to act with integrity and exhibit professional behavior while working for and representing our organization. This decision was made due to unprofessional conduct inconsistent with the core values and beliefs of the Dallas Stars and the National Hockey League."
I just read where some reporters know the truth but they aren't talking, this can't be good.

He didn’t live up to “best coach in the league” if he got fired by TML with three years left on his contract. The question will be who will be willing to pay a failed-as-a-coach-with-that-much-talent-on-the-team as much as he stands to still make from MLSE (about $6M per season)?
well, they don't have to be willing to pay him as much... if they give him permission to talk to another team, MLSE is on the hook for the difference in salary. So if another team only offers him $4M, MLSE has to fork over the other $2M
He is now ”doomed” to living off his millions after Chelios Commodore and others calling out this guy. NOW we know why we couldn’t spell out his name on this site they knew he was a curse word way b4 the rest of the world 🤣🤣

Calgary's owners didn't burn every bridge they had, though. Euge can keep dreaming.
