Sources say deal is worth 950M US, Eugene bought it for $92M in 2003.
Anna and Olivia Melnyk, through the Melnyk Estate, will retain a 10 per cent interest in the club. Subject to approval by both the National Hockey League and finalization of the sale process, Andlauer will assume control of the organization's operations.

you can't shake off the euge that easily. it lingers.
It's a Sens thing.
Taxes have reared their ugly heads in this too 🤦♂️🤣
Simmer reported that the daughters wanted to retain 10% ownership but have no exposure to any losses or cash calls. Wonder where they learned that kind of business?

With the sale of the Sens dragging on and on, I'm afraid that we are going to be stuck with the same GM and coach for another year. The draft is less than a month away and I can't see the new ownership being in place and hiring new people before then. And every day teams are announcing the hiring of new GMs and coaches. By the time the Sens are ready to go down that road, anyone worth hiring will be off the market and we'll end up with other teams castoffs.
This is a sh•t show the way this is dragging on, heard Patrick Johnson one of the myriad of draft guys that writes about prospects say this may be one of the best drafts ever. I like Chcyrun* and all but a team that hasn’t even been close to a playoff spot in 6 years hasn’t had a first round pick in back to back drafts. Cat isn’t extended and is a UFA soon and Chychun stays injured. That’s the facts there has been no winning

agreed. having one celeb attached to an owner can help with promotion, but a dozen is just asking for chaos.

A month ago I felt positive about the sale of the Sens. Now I'm not so sure. Personally, I couldn't care less about the personalities they parade out in front of the cameras. It seems to be turning into a kind of clown show with a new celebrity being added every week. I'm more interested in people who are actually going to be running the team and paying the bills. I guess we just have to hope that Butman and the NHL chose someone who is competent and passionate about the team and the game. Not just the highest bidder. And trusting Butman to do the right thing, now that's a scary thought. If you need a celebrity face for the franchise, go get Alfie. At least he knows how to skate.
Good post. Hope is not a good plan and hoping Butman to choose correctly after the Phoenix mess lets us know he and the NHL can screw this up. Probably won’t but it can happen
this neko sparks thing has become a joke. anyone who cashes in their empties can now join the group. that is going to turn into a **** show.
if he could, he would.
I wonder if Anna and Olivia retain 10% and get $950M? That would push the total to $1.05B?
Or is it 10%, plus $855M? I'm guessing the latter?
That's like the appreciation my parents have seen on their SoCal house…in like one third the time.
"We have assumed control. We have assumed control. We have assumed control."
That one's for you, Shanghai.
