“DeBrincat extension could come anywhere between $8-9 million annually on a long-term deal.
The Islanders, so it seems, would send at least Jean-Gabriel Pageau back to his original team in this scenario. A combination of a pick or another prospect would have to be included.”
How in the heck does Dorian get away without this?? JGP is good at face offs is all we be hearing and he plays D

Joonas Korpisalo is a Sens Goalie - 5 years at 4m average. Thoughts? It looks from the picture on Twitter he was with the Kings. If he's truly a good Goalie why is a young upcoming club way ahead of the Senators letting him walk for nothing?

From Hockey Reference: 3.06 GAA and .903 save % for his career. Almost all with Columbus. With LA was 7-3-1 2.13 and .921 in 11 games with a good club but a super small sample size to be giving a 5 year contract in my opinion. In a 8 year career he's had 3 shutouts which seems to me not very many. Not good numbers, and blaming everything on Columbus isn't smart. They had some good teams in the last 8 years.
I'm guessing the contract was the price they had to pay to get him. TSN guys said he had double hip surgery before last year (he had hip problems during his time in CLB) and had a great year because of it. So sens are betting on last year being the real korpisalo. Hey, if it doesn't work out, we'll just dump him on the leafs.
If he doesn't work out, they can always send him to the leafs.

Good news! Canuck did some tinkering and thinks he found the problem that got the spammers here. Hopefully they are now banished.

That was a joke aimed at Russell because he makes his living selling cat stuff.

Send them each a few cats, that'll stop it.

Ottawa sports radio is really pushing the idea of EK65 returning here, even going so far as to suggest a Chabot-for-Karlsson trade or a talented forward trade. I’d rather keep Chabot and see how he plays with having a top four of Chabot / Zub / Sanderson / Chychrun, along with perhaps Brännström and a-body-to-be-named-later works out. EK had a great season, but the cap hit, along with his age and injury history, steer me away from having him back without SJ retaining salary (and by that I mean half of it).
Agree 👍
And I heard today the Grier said SJ would not be eating 50% of his salary. Take that for what its worth, but worth noting.
Can't blame him, EK65 just won his 3rd Norris Trophy for best scoring Dman.

Per multiple reports this could be happening
“DeBrincat extension could come anywhere between $8-9 million annually on a long-term deal.
