Can't see Pinto being traded. Joseph is the obvious one, if they can find a taker. Brannstrom would be next up. No one is touching Forsberg until he proves his knees are fine.
Better problems than trying to make the cap floor.

Salary Cap economics.
NHL Salary Cap is $83,500,000
Sens' current cap numbers.
PROJECTED CAP HIT : $82,604,047 PROJECTED LTIR USED : $0 PROJECTED CAP SPACE : $895,953 CURRENT CAP SPACE : $895,953
Dead Cap $5,020,833
RETAINED SALARY (1) $1,562,500 Murray, Matt $1,562,500
BUYOUT HISTORY (3) $3,458,333
Ryan, Bobby $1,833,333 White, Colin $875,000 Del Zotto, Michael $750,000
We only have 10 forwards signed with Pinto and Sokolov pending with $895,953 cap space left.
Leafs are $13,256,450 over the cap, but with LTIR (Jake Muzzin and Matt Murray) are projected to be $2,943,950 over the cap.
I don't know all the ins and outs about the salary cap, but why can the Leafs attribute Matt Murray's cap space to LTIR, but not the Sens with their retained salary?
Read a few articles on this and none mentioned this. Only that the Sens only have about $900k cap space left and two players to sign and saying the Sens will need to make some trades with names like Joseph, Forsberg, Brannstrom, Kubalik even Pinto being mentioned.
Training camp is around the corner and other teams are in a cap crunch to trade options will be limited.

How much optimism do we have this upcoming season for the team compared to last?
Better on D and it sounds like they should be better in Goal and top 6 should be the same or better. It’s that bottom six on offence that is troubling. Of course if you’re going to be weak someplace, that might be the place to be. I think they’re going to be better, so are Detroit and Buffalo especially Buffalo. I’m optimistic even with that GM still hanging around
pinto will be back on the third line so that will help.
1 year is perfect for tarasnesko. good buffer while younger talent grows. problem is snes are now at the cap and pinto has yet to be signed. someone else has to go. obvious choice would be Joseph but I doubt they can move him. After that, its Batherson. Would hate to see them give up on him for 1 year of tarasnesko.
Joseph has gotta go and if it takes a 2nd rounder to get him out that’s just the way this GM backs himself into a corner. At this point with this talent they have to go all in. Which is kinda asinine for a team without any playoffs in forever. I just hope a 2nd is en to move Joseph out

I have quite a bit. I will be the first to admit that I don't know all the ins and outs about the salary cap - I'm not an expert - but I think Tarasenko and Kubalik will be more than able to make up for the loss of Debrincat. Our team looks pretty loaded up front and I don't think scoring goals will be a problem.
Defence and goaltending is the major X factor but I also see other teams in our division on the way down so that may work in our favour. The Sabres are on the way up; the Bruins look ready for a big dropoff; and the Leafs will probably be about the same.
I am really looking forward to another great season of Senators hockey. I am counting down the days. A Countdown, if you will.

This is the current list.

this was kinds fun. Ryan and Yorkie drafting teams of Sens players, past and present, for a 7 game series.

Noticeable players left un drafted: Yashin and Hasek. ( And gerber)
