After being fired:
John Paddock: never an NHL HC
Craig Hartsburg: never an NHL HC
Cory Clouston: never an NHL HC
Paul MacLean: never an NHL HC
Dave Cameron: never an NHL HC
Guy Boucher: never an NHL HC
DJ Smith: probably never an NHL HC
what a run of coaches
Elliott Friedman on today's 32Thoughts: Andlauer, Staios and Bowness are the meme where 1 person is standing against 1000 and saying "I'm right and you're all wrong". They're really trying to hold things off, they're trying to get to know everything about the org before making decisions.
Took those off Twitter - I think all they have to do is watch the freaking games you’ll get all the information you need.

No pressure, DJ.
They hired a coach to coach the coach!
Its a great move. There's no doubt...That Jacques will either make a better coach of DJ, or he'll take over. So either way, things should get better.
Good points

now, on another topic, Chabot out a minimum of 4 weeks. Despite their best efforts, this team just can't get a break. Other than bones.

Haha, the Senators made NPR's "Wait Wait Don't Tell Me" show.
Lightning fill in the blank: This week, a fight at a hockey game between the Florida Panthers and the Ottawa Senators resulted in [blank] being suspended from the game?
Guess: Justin Trudeau
Answer: No, every. single. player. on the ice.
Lmao!
That is funny 😁
To be fair Justin Trudeau was responsible for it all, so they were close.

So it looks like it's only a matter of time until DJ Smith gets canned. I'm not really sure what to think of that. What if he gets fired and there is still no improvement? Will the fans start chanting "Hire DJ!" That would be a helluva thing, wouldn't it?
If there's no improvement, then nothing lost cuz its not going anywhere the way it is.
One of the "professional" hockey podcasts I listen to (professional as in they are paid hockey analysts/reporters, is it no comment on the **quality** of the podcast ) basically boiled it down to…since he hasn't been fired yet, he's probably safe, and the reason he hasn't been fired is most likely a "Dude, we just got here and don't even have a GM yet, first things first."

Per ESPN, Chabot (name kinda sounds familiar, I think I remember this guy) returning from LTIR tomorrow vs CBJ.

It's going to be a make or break couple of months for the Sens.

“Not going well in Ottawa. Coach being booed in the stands, today Patrick was seen in a restaurant in Kanata. I don’t usually get insider information, but when I do I give it. To go to Kanata at a time like this is quite interesting, we will follow”
For someone not local-reference educated…is there literally no other reason for him to be in Kanata? As I understand it, Kanata is "outside" the city center so is this like HUGE?? Or just completely coincidental and blow out of proportion?
I grew up in that part of town. I can't think of any other reason why he might be there.

That's what one of those French analysts said, the other say, sure he can there, but among everything going on it's interesting.
Another report says he wasn't in Kanata. Not sure when the last time he was in the Ottawa area or why he would be here just on a personal visit.
