 For whatever reason, it's been fairly clear for awhile that Turris is not going to get re-signed.  So my guess right now is that Dorion is panicking and trying desperately to get Duchene to fill the massive hole he is seeing in the roster.

 I would understand it more if Duchesne's contract was longer. But next year is his last at 6m. Turris will want at least 6m to stay....

Duchesne's stats are better than Turris, but would they be in Ottawa??? Just don't know
