Probably related to the devastating face plant to the ice.  needed full facial reconstruction surgery. Came back for one good season, but tailed off quickly after that.

Homer, looking at the 01 Pens team and Kevin Stevens was on that team. In the early 90's in a 4 year stretch he had like 415 points in 315 games then his totals fell off a cliff!?! Did he have illegal drug problems? Allegedly
